Job description
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for bringing in new Shopify Native and Headless projects. Your role is crucial in acquiring exciting projects that our talented developers and designers can take over once the sales are closed.
This technical sales role requires deep knowledge of the issues our clients face and the solutions we offer. Due to the complexity of the product, expect longer sales cycles. Therefore, you’ll work on a long-term strategy to ensure your pipeline is filled with inspiring brands. Your main responsibility will be to introduce Ask Phill to new brands, understand clients' challenges, and develop proposals that meet their needs, timelines, and budgets. After contracts are signed, you’ll coordinate with our Product Owner team to kick off the project.
We're fortunate to have a significant volume of inbound sales. However, we are also focused on outbound sales, including cold calling, so expect a nice balance between the two. Therefore, we need someone who’s confident in picking up the phone, excels at listening, asks the right questions, and enjoys engaging with people.
The ideal candidate is a commercially-minded, ambitious person, with a background in business development or sales. Extensive experience isn't required, but a genuine passion for sales and the e-commerce industry is essential.

Responsibilities
Closing new business deals and opportunities for our Shopify Native and Headless projects.
Develop and execute a long-term strategy to ensure a pipeline filled with inspiring brands.
Serve as the point of contact for new clients.
Responsible for your own pipeline and keeping everything up to date in HubSpot.
Work hand-in-hand with the Product Owners to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients, facilitating their journey to ongoing success.
Keep up-to-date with e-commerce trends and Shopify developments, ensuring you’re always a step ahead in understanding the market in which each client operates.

Job Requirements
2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role (Business Development/Sales/Account Management)
Prior experience working in a technical sales environment
Strong negotiation and communication skills, adept at engaging with all types of stakeholders
Proven experience in setting up your own sales pipeline and creating strategic sales plans
A profound enthusiasm for connecting with clients and fostering robust relationships
A strong interest in the e-commerce industry, particularly in the types of clients we work with: fashion, lifestyle, & beauty
