Job Description

Last year, we initiated our Shopify Consultancy team, and as new projects continue to line up, we're now looking for a Junior Business Development Manager. In this role, you'll work closely with Marcel, our Business Development Manager, to help expand our team. Your main responsibility will be to introduce our company, understand clients' challenges, and develop proposals that meet their needs, timelines, and budgets. After contracts are signed, you'll coordinate with our Shopify Consultancy team to assist our clients in setting up their Shopify stores, all without the need for additional development.

We're fortunate to have a significant volume of inbound sales, however we are also focused on outbound sales/cold calling, so expect a nice balance between the two. Therefore, we need someone who’s confident in picking up the phone, excels at listening, and enjoys engaging with people. You will be the first point of contact for new clients when it comes to new business requests.

The ideal candidate is a commercial-minded, ambitious, young professional, preferably with some background in business development or sales. Extensive experience isn't required, but a genuine passion for sales and the e-commerce industry is essential.

Responsibilities 

  • Closing new business deals and opportunities for our no-code Shopify projects
  • First point of contact for all new clients
  • Responsible for your own pipeline and keeping everything up to date in Hubspot
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Shopify Consultancy team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients, facilitating their journey to ongoing success.
  • Keep up-to-date with e-commerce trends and Shopify developments, ensuring you’re always a step ahead in understanding the market in which each client operates.

Job requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, (Business Development/Sales/Account Management)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, adept at engaging with all types of stakeholders.
  • A profound enthusiasm for connecting with clients and fostering robust relationships.
  • A strong interest in the e-commerce industry, particularly in the types of clients we work with: fashion, lifestyle & beauty 

Additional useful experience

  • Prior experience working with the Shopify platform.
