Product Owner

Working at Ask Phill

Our mission is to set the industry standard for designing, developing and growing a D2C e-commerce experience.

The industry is still young, still growing, and so right now there are no standards for how to build a successful store. We keep ourselves open to experimentation, new ideas and creative freedoms to find innovative ways of developing high quality e-commerce experiences.

Each of us is working together to set the industry standard for D2C e-commerce development and perhaps you have the skills, the energy and the ambition to join our ranks.

The team

You’ll join a young, diverse, vibrant and energetic team of professionals who are passionate about what they do and eager to learn more. Remote working is possible if you prefer but we have an Amsterdam city centre office that’s always packed with friendly faces, warm food and cold beer.

We encourage everyone in the team to frequently get together for innovation sessions, dinners, drinks and parties because we believe fostering a strong team spirit amongst all colleagues leads to a better standard of work.

We’re big on collaboration and always encourage our separate teams to work together on projects. In your role as Shopify Consultant you’ll work closely with our CRO Specialists, Businesses development managers and marketing coordinators, learning from them along the way whilst they also learn from you, as we all pitch in to help our clients grow their businesses.

Job description

Alongside Shopify site development, we now consult our clients on how best to implement Shopify within their organisation.

As a Shopify Consultant you’ll be the go-to person for all clients that need more all round Shopify support. You’ll guide them through numerous non-development processes such as choosing a theme, selecting the right apps, Shopify e-commerce strategy, setting up Shopify POS, discussing new Shopify updates, and much more!

Please note: this is a new department within Ask Phill. We’re looking for someone who wants the freedom to build and define the role as they wish. Working with the management team, you can bring new ideas to the role and grow the responsibilities that you believe are most beneficial to our clients. In the future there will be room to further establish the team and extend the department.

The ideal candidate is passionate about e-commerce, specifically within the fashion and lifestyle industries. They’re a strong communicator, with the ability to lead a conversation about how best to achieve the task in hand, and have excellent time management skills. They’ll have experience with the Shopify platform and have solid understanding of the current e-commerce landscape, and the directions in which it’s progressing.
